Make something with the right people

A shared interest is an introduction. A useful collaboration starts with what you are making, what you can contribute and what help the project actually needs.

Reading paths and questions

Use Discover People in the Community to publish an opt-in discovery card or a project brief. Describe what you are making, add an optional project image, and name the help you need. Keep the scope small enough that another person can understand the next step.

An independent publication might need illustration, writing, editing, photography, translation or layout. A short film might need sound, animation, research or accessibility captions. A musician might be looking for cover art, a developer for a designer, or an archivist for help organizing a collection. These are examples, not fabricated listings.

Public skills and project needs help people find a practical reason to connect. Recommendations explain shared interests and complementary contributions rather than assigning a secret compatibility score. Interests may include art, music, technology, DIY, film, esotericism, society or another subject you choose.

View the public profile before sending a connection request or offering to collaborate. Existing recipient permissions still apply; a project post does not bypass them. Agree on the deliverable, timeline, credit, usage rights and whether work is paid or voluntary before committing.

Discovery is optional. Publish only the tags, skills and goals you want other people to see, and leave discovery when you choose. You can pin a project to your page or repost it to your connections feed using the existing controls. No legal name, birth details or private compatibility profile is required.
